Taipei Medical University (TMU) School of Health Care Administration alumna Chen Yu-Chi has been awarded the 2026 Outstanding Young Women Award for her long-term dedication to and outstanding performance in family support, caregiver advocacy, and social innovation. Chen Yu-Chi currently serves as the Founder and CEO of MOMDAY, and is also a Youth Advisory Committee Member of the Executive Yuan. She has long been focused on issues regarding family support, the plight of caregivers, and child and youth development, dedicating herself to addressing the caregiving challenges faced by modern families through social innovation models.
The Taiwan Outstanding Young Women Award aims to commend young women with exceptional performance in areas such as professional development, social service, public participation, and public welfare promotion. It encourages women to exert their influence, actively engage in society, and promote national development. As the "Ten Young Outstanding Women Award" selection enters its 60th anniversary in 2026, to highlight exemplary spirit and broaden the scope of recognition, this year's edition has for the first time expanded into three honorary award categories: the Ten Young Outstanding Women Award, the Benchmark Young Women Award, and the Outstanding Young Women Award. The recognition categories have also been expanded to 18 fields, encouraging young women to become role models of the era from a more macroscopic perspective.

Alumna Chen Yu-Chi stated that after becoming a mother, she personally experienced the pressures and challenges of caregiving work and observed that many families lack sufficient support during their parenting and caregiving journeys. Therefore, she founded MOMDAY in 2023 with the philosophy of "Making caregiving no longer a solitary task." The company provides comprehensive family support services, offering in-home nannies, child companions, and respite services for caregivers, helping families gain access to more robust parenting resources and support systems. Through its talent incubation mechanism, the team also provides women and care workers with more employment and professional development opportunities. By utilizing companion services to create a new social support model, they promote the development of the "Companion Economy," generating a positive cycle among caregiving needs, job opportunities, and social value.
