School of Health Care Administration
TMU established the School of HealthCare Administration in 1997 in response to the increasing demand for the healthcare industry's administrative personnel following Taiwan's National Health Insurance launch in 1995. Through its bachelor's, master's, and executive's programs, the school has fostered many outstanding professionals in the Taiwanese healthcare industry. The School of Health Care Administration also established its International Master Program in 2009. It was the first to use English as a medium of instruction in Taiwan for international students in health care administration. In addition to exporting Taiwan's healthcare management experience, the program also offers practical assistance to other countries.
In November 2023, the School of Health Care Administration made history by becoming the first in Taiwan and the second outside North America to be certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). This certification reflects the program’s exceptional quality and commitment to continuous improvement in teaching, industry collaboration, and international collaboration. It also marks a significant milestone in developing healthcare administration education in Taiwan, demonstrating the program’s commitment to high-quality teaching and learning environments.
